Meet little Puff. He is a Bichon Frise . Sadly we lost him Nov. 2014. Puff came with me on many grooming work days. We are so glad he was able to spend his last days at home. He always enjoyed laying on the bottom shelf or in an empty cage while I worked. He was our first Dog Loft mascot. Puff left us with so many amazing memories. He always put a smile on every ones face. Gone but Never Forgotten . Puff will remain in our hearts forever 2002-2014 RIP BUDDY #gonebutnotforgotten
Meet Mickey, our black lab. He is 9 years old. He loves to hang out and sleep on the couch. Mickey is a very kind and gentle dog. He mostly keeps to himself but does enjoy some playtime in the backyard. Mickey loves to hangout with everyone especially his boy Jesse. Sadly Mickey lost his battle with cancer November 2016 He is missed by many. #gonebutnotforgotten
Meet Buzz, our 7 year old Rottweiler. He is a big goofy playful dog. We got him as a puppy while working at a doggie daycare. Buzz came to work with me everyday where he was able to get lots of socializing with other dogs. He enjoys running and playing in the back yard with sister, Downey. His favorite game is fetch!!! He is kind of a mama's boy!! Wish I could say I rescued him but he rescued me for sure!!! Sadly we lost Buzz to bone cancer February 2020. He is very missed. #gonebutnotforgotten
Meet Downey, our 3 1/2 year old Pitbull. We rescued her from the Capital Area Humane Society in 2012. Downey loves to play and met new friends. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle with every human and dog. She loves to go to dog friendly events. Together we love to show people how amazing Rescued dogs can be, even pit bulls!!! Sadly we lost Downey to cancer 11/2022 She is very missed #Gonebutnotforgotten
Meet Gracie who we started fostering in June of 2016. Gracie is a 13 year old Shih-Tzu. She loves to relax and hunt for scraps. We decided to make her a permanent part of the pack at Christmas. She definitely keeps us smiling and can't imagine life without her. Sadly We lost Gracie to heart failure in May 2017 She is missed by everypawdy. #gonebutnotforgotten
Meet Max aka (Turk) who we saved from being put down at Franklin county shelter in Aug of 2016. Max had to have a expensive spinal surgery. We started out as foster's then fell in love and adopted him. Today Max is a healthy happy goofy boy. He enjoys playing with new and old dog friends. He is also head of Dog Loft Security. Sadly we lost Sweet goofy, gental Max 2/23
Meet Jackson, our 5 year old Bichon Frise given to us by a high school friend. He enjoys making new small dog friends. His favorite thing to do is cuddle with humans.
Meet Lily, a one year old Rottweiler. We welcomed her into our family in December 2019. She loves to make new dog friends. Lily is very sweet and loves to cuddle.
Meet Jesse, our little helper!!! Jesse has been around dogs his whole life. Jesse is a very smart and special little boy. After a rough start in life going through 2 open heart surgeries. Jesse is a CHD (congenital heart defect) survivor. Today he is a happy 16 year old young man loving life. He not only has a special heart but a very kind one. He enjoys helping me sweep up the hair and learn about dogs. He loves meeting new dogs and is a big help with our special doggie guests!
Meet Jesse III (Bud), my hubby who shares the same love for dogs. Bud has grown up with dogs and has learned a lot over the years. He helps take care of the yard and maintenance at The Dog Loft. He also enjoys walking and playing with the dogs that visit us.
Last but not least, the Leader of The Dog Loft Pack...... Sarah. I graduated in 2000 From North West Career Center's Animal Management program. The program taught me a lot about different animal careers. I started working as a grooming assistant in 1998. I spent many years grooming dogs at a vet clinic and a few dog daycares. I also have experience working as a doggie daycare worker and learned a lot about dog training.
